With how many of my friends are actively using this holding fixture, I’m surprised not to see all their names in the review area (yep, that’s a nudge to you guys).
I’ve been using this in conjunction with the mini crossover for a few months now, and I can safely say it’s changed the way I work. The most welcome change to my workflow has been the ability to work on complicated structural issues without twisting my body around.
Have you ever done a bridge reglue directly in front of your face while standing? How bout a brace repair? How about with complete confidence the guitar will stay there during the process?
Buy it. Make some money with it. You’ll be happy you did.

  2. Eric Collier

I have been doing guitar repair and restoration for over 25 years and I have seen lots of repair gadgets come and go. I can honestly say I have never had a tool change the entire way I look at repairs. I use the workstation every single day. If you are like me and you like to customize everything this workstation makes it so easy to do so. I have put a 3/4 size upright bass in it as well as a soprano uke. The only change I would make is that it was avail 25 years ago! Great Job! I love my Proper’s Guitar Workstation and cannot imagine doing repairs without it!

I’m a full time luthier doing restoration, repair and some building. Totally changed the way I work. I got one in the first batch so I’ve been using it for a year and a 1/2. It holds the guitar in nearly any conceivable position while you work. No more wrestling with instruments hunched over a bench. I stand up straight and bing the work to me. If I feel awkward or strained while working, I stop, imagine the most convenient position and in seconds the guitar is where I want it and I’m standing up straight again. I have a large shop, with LOTS of benches for working on guitars. Now 90% of my work is in the station. I’m thinking of getting rid of all my benches since they only get cluttered, since I don’t put guitars on them anymore.

It only takes a few seconds to switch instruments, then it’s secure and safe while you’re working on it. No slipping or sliding. The urethane pads are gentle on the guitar
It’s totally modular and you can make any attachment you can dream of. Not just for guitars, I’ve worked on ukes, banjos, mandolins, and from 1/16 violins to upright basses(I have a YouTube demo).

These are heavy duty, industrial quality hand made in the USA. I can see these taking off in factory work because they make everything easier and faster.

This is not hype, these are incredible. If you repair or build full time, you need this. My neck and back do hurt anymore from hunching over a bench all week.
