I am very happy with this purchase. I looked at multiple other gun vises and decided on TotalVise. This vise is solid and holds everything rock solid. The bottom of the vise jaw does sit 7 inches above the bench top based on the mount that came with it. Since my bench is taller than normal (39 inches), it makes the vise a little higher than I would like. I would buy this vise again.
